NEW ORLEANS EAST PHASE II PROPERTY SALE

New Orleans, La. - The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) has commissioned Gilmore Auction & Realty to conduct the disposition of 200+ Road Home properties online and in-person 3316 Florida Avenue, Kenner, LA October14-21, 2011 for its New Orleans East Phase II Program.

Bids can be placed online at www.GilmoreAuction.com and in person at the Gilmore office. Bidding begins at $1,000 on each property with reserve. Interested bidders should visit www.gilmoreauction.com for property information, photos, Terms & Conditions and Pre-Registration.

Properties include single family homes, doubles as well as vacant lots. Neighborhoods include, but are not limited to, Little Woods, Venetian Isles, Plum Orchard, Pines Village, Village De Lest, Warrick East and West and Lake Barrington to name a few.

Winning Bidders will be required to submit a 20% deposit in a cashier’s check or money order and a signed purchase agreement is due within 7 business days of the auction. There will be no Buyers Premium and no cost to bid.

Winning bidders will agree to rehab or begin construction on the property within 12 months and to keep free from blight. A limit of one property can be purchased per person. The newly constructed or rehabilitated home may be occupied only by the Buyer or an immediate family member during the thirty-six (36) month period after closing. Buyer may not lease or transfer ownership or a usufruct in the property during the first thirty-six (36) months from closing, except to an immediate family member, who shall likewise be bound by Section IV of the purchase agreement for the balance of the 36 month period. Bidders may also utilize the property for green space if they are the adjacent property owner.
